I’m an IT Professional who was has been involved in IT since an early age. I began my discovery into IT when my school bought a new computer running Windows 3.1. I didn’t take long before I learned how to delete “Write” program and then spend hours reloading in by floppy disc!
I am a systems administrator and network engineer currently working for a IT Solutions Company providing internal IT Support for a private school in Monmouthshire. I have gained a vast amount of knowledge it in the IT industry with new technology and solutions always being introduced keeping up educating is some what a struggle, so I decided to create this Tech Blog to share my knowledge I call upon every day to the rest of my fella IT Geeks.
I consider myself well rounded and hold a few good accreditation under my belt, to name a few Cisco CCENT & CCNA Routing and Switching, MSCA Server 2012 R2, MCITP Server Administrator 2008 R2, MCITP Vitalization Administrator.
My passion for IT is very much split between work and personal, let me explain. All day Monday to Friday I will work in core infrastructure, and mostly Windows OS. I believe from a business point a view there is no other way. Now evenings and weekends my personal passion are Apple products. My home lab is all Apple (apart from my ESXi hosts and Cisco equipment), to put simply it just works! I spend my days fixing bugs and errors and it pleasing to use a personal Apple device that is slick and stylish and is user friendly, things just work by clicking a button. No moans, grunts or huffs when comparing to the Windows world.
Before I committed myself to being an IT Geek full I used to be a Professional Dancer. I have worked with many famous people, performed in some amazing venues and traveled the word. You may have even seen my face on TV or Films!
